Straw castles, maggoty marks and tales of the riverbed

Visitors to our residency event were wowed by Anne Bean’s large scale river bed drawings, delicate prints by Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva taken from decaying fungi and offal and Abigail Conway’s playful climb-on straw bale castle. The event included talks by all three artists and marked the end of a very productive and successful residency.Elpida created fungal drawings by placing mushrooms on to paper covered with a lid allowng the maggots living on the mushrooms to make thier own marks.
