Music at The Sidney Nolan Trust

Recital in Tithe Barn

In 2010 The Sidney Nolan Trust is running a short 25th. Anniversary Music Programme that will serve to kick start an important regional and national annual music programme at The Rodd.

The emphasis of the annual programme will be placed upon excellence, education and performance opportunity.

Using existing contacts the Trust will collaborate with the Young Concert Artists Trust, the Australian Music Foundation, the Mastersingers (Wagner Society), the Britten Pears Foundation and the Marches Oboe School. The Trust is fortunate to benefit from the experience and expertise of Sir John Tooley, Simon Mundy and Lady Nolan, as Trustees, as well as from the personal relations that Sidney Nolan developed with many outstanding musicians during his lifetime.

Collaborations will
• provide education, rehearsal and performance opportunities for young talented and aspirational musicians at The Rodd
• bring established artists of exceptional calibre to The Rodd to provide inspiration for young artists through tutoring and performance
• provide an annual programme of performance and masterclass showcase for a local audience and that will attract an audience into the area.

THE SIDNEY NOLAN TRUST RECEIVES FINANCIAL ASSITANCE FROM THE ELMLEY FOUNDATION.
