Fishing at The Rodd

The Hindwell Brook is a wild trout stream that gently meanders in an easterly direction from its origins in the Radnor Forest to join the river Lugg just below Presteigne. Being spring fed, the river keeps a good flow throughout the summer months. The delightful Rodd beat runs through the organically farmed section run by the Sidney Nolan Trust. With just over a kilometre of classic riffle, glide, pool sequences, the Hindwell offers some excellent trout fishing for those who are willing. There are some (unexpectedly) deep holes along the river so take care when wading, which is otherwise easy on gravel and silt.
