Printmaking: Mono Print

This workshop provides the opportunity to experiment with spontaneous and expressive qualities of mark-making through the printmaking method of Monoprint.  Monoprinting is a very direct form of expression and is helpful in the development, and in the releasing, of drawing skills. It is also open to exploration in the use of a variety of materials and to pushing the boundaries of printmaking.

The course provides the opportunity to work in the beautiful natural environment of The Rodd preparing printmaking surfaces and printing without a press in the open air. The sensory experiences, contact with the elements, found objects, earth substances, and surfaces, can be used to prepare further monoprints during the day, using the presses provided.
