Almost exactly 12 months since we opened Sidney’s Studio to the public for the first time, Paula Dredge called by, en route from Sydney to Amsterdam.
Paula is Head of Paintings Conservation at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. She spent two months with us last year conserving, cataloguing, photographing and interpreting the contents of Sidney’s Studio at The Rodd. It was great to see her and hear a few new stories about some of the items in the Studio and the tale that a simple label and stamp on a box can tell. The sun shone on our supper with Trustees before Paula travelled on to the Modern Oil Paint Conference at the Rijksmuseum.
