Writes saying that he left Cooktown last week on a fishing boat to Cairns, but the engine failed half way and they ended up on a beach, unable to get off until the high tides two weeks later. He says he lived on the beach with the fishermen and then managed to get on a 'pineappple launch', which brought him to Mossman the previous evening. He will travel to Cairns that afternoon by bus, and will soon after spend a week on Green Island and then start travelling to Brisbane around December 15. He mentions that he may also travel to St Kilda soon
