FREE woodworking workshops for young people aged 9 to 16.
No previous knowledge needed.
This is a special opportunity for young people to develop their making skills and understand the properties of wood from two highly experienced and innovative designer-makers Bim Burton and David Colwell.
Dates and times: 4.15 to 5.45pm from Tuesday 22nd September to Tuesday 8th December 2026 (not including half term Tuesday 27th October).
Young people booking need to be able to commit to attend all the sessions as places are limited and the learning will be scaffolded – to sign up please email learning@sidneynolantrust.org.
Ideas in Wood is organised by Sidney Nolan Trust as part of its initiatives for young people – MAKE, a weekly term-time art group for ages 8 to 11, Cultivate, a monthly youth arts group for ages 11 to 16 and holiday workshops. For further details email learning@sidneynolantrust.org.
