Ever wondered what would happen if you could remix your favourite artwork? In this creative workshop, we’ll explore the copy art exhibition in Rodd Court and discover how artists take inspiration from artworks they love to make something completely new.

You’ll experiment with photocopy art, collage, and mixed materials to transform artworks into your own imaginative creations. Think of it like starting a creative conversation with an artwork — what would you say back?

Workshop Schedule:

11:00 – 11:20 | Explore the Exhibition
We’ll begin by looking at the artworks on display and chatting about how artists sometimes re-interpret or remix other artworks. Why do they do it? How does it change the meaning?

11:20 – 12:00 | Photocopy Art Lab
Time to experiment! Use the copy station and a mix of fun materials to create your own photocopy artworks. Try layering, repeating, and transforming images to see what new ideas appear.

12:00 – 12:30 | Lunch Break

12:30 – 2:00 | Re-Imagine an Artwork
Choose a piece from the gallery that really catches your eye. Through sketching, notes, and making, you’ll create your own re-imagined version.
